 PARENTS AND FANS’ CODE OF CONDUCT

Fans are expected to comply with the following Code of Conduct, and must agree to upon signup of thier child

During games, I will remain in the spectator area and not enter the field of play, in the absence of an injury or emergency.

  1. I will not engage, encourage or support any arguments, fighting, or other hostile, abusive or otherwise inappropriate behavior toward any coach, player, official or fan.
  2. I will show respect for all coaches, umpires and officials, and for all players on the field, not just those on my child’s team.
  3. I will remember that the coaches are volunteering their time for the benefit of my child.
  4. I will remember that officials have chosen to work our league over other leagues and deserve our respect.
  5. I will not berate, ridicule or attempt to intimidate any referee, but will leave any allowable challenges to be made by the coaches.
  6. I will not use profanity or abusive language.
  7. I will not use alcohol, tobacco or drugs while a spectator at a game at the PAL/CYO courts.
  8. I will remember that the goal of this organization is to provide youth with an opportunity to play top-quality athletics at the highest level of competition, while maintaining the strong values of a Catholic sports environment of good sportsmanship, fair play, honesty, integrity, and Christian fellowship.
  9. I will remember that the game is for the players, not for me.

 St Bernadette reminds all its player parents, guardians, grandparents

and other fans that it is a privilege, not a right, to watch your

child play sports at our facilities. If any parent or

other fan abuses this privilege by engaging in any of the

unacceptable behaviors outlined above, we will direct

that such individual leave the premise.

  • Waiver Form - Required
    Release & Waiver: I/We the parents or legal guardians of the player named above, a participant in the St. Bernadette activities program, hereby give my/our permission for the player to participate in any and all St. Bernadette activities and events. I understand that athletics and sports are activities which can cause serious injury, for which I am voluntarily giving my child permission to participate in. I/We on behalf of us and the player, assume all risks and hazards incidental to the player's participation, including the risk of injury and/or death, occurring as a result of participation, observation and transportation to and from all activities. I/We, on behalf of us and the player, hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless, St. Bernadette, their organizers, sponsors, employees, all practice field providers, administrators, volunteers, coaches, referees, assistants, or anyone transporting the player to and from Baseball activities, and anyone preparing any playing field from any and all claims for negligent, willful, wanton, unintentional, accidental, or intentional acts or omissions which may occur at any time during the athletic season, practices, games, or transportation. Notwithstanding the above stated language and without the waiver of any defense of immunity, under the statute or common law from any protected person, the execution of this release/waiver and hold harmless agreement, limits the signer and participating child’s right to recovery only to any applicable insurance policy of St. Bernadette, or its insurance representatives. I/We hereby certify that sufficient accident and liability insurance covers the player and that I/we will maintain such coverage in force at my/our expense while he/she participates in the St. Bernadette, athletics Program. I/we further certify that our child is covered by Medical Insurance which will remain in-force throughout the season, and that the child is medically and physically able to safely participate and compete in athletics.

    Hold Harmless & IndemnityAgreement: The athlectic Participant and/or Family agrees to defend, protect, indemnify, and hold harmless St. Bernadette, Parish and Athletics (parish staff and volunteers) from all claims arising from the negligence or fault of the above named Athlectics Participant and/or Family or any of their agents, family members, officers, volunteers, helpers, partners, organizational members or associates which arise out of the above named  Athletics at St. Bernadette,. Additionally, the above named athlectic Participant and/or Family agrees to protect, defend, and hold harmless, St. Bernadette, Parish and Athletics for any claims or cause of action whatsoever arising out of Baseball and/or Athletics which takes place during Baseball and/or Athletics that is brought against St. Bernadette, Parish and/or Athletics by the above named athlectic Participant and/or family or their family members whether such claim arises from the alleged negligence of St. Bernadette, Parish and/or Athletics, its employees or agents, or Baseball Participant and/or family’s negligence.
